Cross Creek Honey Co. is situated in one of the last refuges of old Florida. Our bees feed on thousands of acres of virgin St. Johns River Water Management District land, where the flowing waters of Lochloosa Lake feed into Orange Lake and where the plants that were born to the land produce the true Florida honeys.
We spent over three years working with our Department of Agriculture to see Florida adopt the first honey standard in the nation, so we take great pride in our honey and do our very best to provide our customers with premium Florida honeys that are never filtered or heated.
Cross Creek Honey has one motto: "Raw Honey the Way Bees Intended” so on extraction day the wax cappings are sliced off, the frames go into a spinner, the honey comes out through the spigot, strained with two kitchen strainers to remove any leftover wax particles and then packed in glass jars. We bottle in a certified kitchen and hold all permits required under the food safety laws of Florida. We sell our honey in 2 ounce, 12 ounce, and 1 pound sizes.
